Charm bracelets would be great, and if you’re into DIY stuff, you can add charms that match the print, like butterflies, pink roses, cards/suits, simple flowers, and your initial.

Rings and broaches can also incorporate these things.Ī purse like this one ( ) in red or black would be best because it’s super simple but still cute! Similar purses would also work.

#Cutest lolita coords series
I’m thinking that I’m going to make a series out of this, with different themes and coords each time… And yes, it’s mostly because I LOVE THEMES! (Did I already mention that? ) And, because they’re simple, they can be used in many other coords as well.Giving themes to things is one of my hobbies! Haha! I love themes! And especially in Lolita, theming is very easy and very fun! All you have to do is decide on a specific concept or idea, and build your coordinate from there. So, this post’s theme is Storybook Friends. (( I mean, November)) ) So for the sake of inspiring my fellow Northern Lolis, I will now post some themed coords for you to ponder! (It’s also the theme of my local Lolita community’s tea party this month. The main idea is to pick a color scheme and go with it. Don’t focus too much on specific prints to carry your theme. It’s all about the overall look and feel of your outfit. In this coord for Little Bo Peep, I stayed with the blues and pinks for my color scheme. I added the bonnet because how could you go without one for this?! The blouse is simple, with only fabric (eyelet ) lace and large scallops. You could add sheep and shepherd’s hook accessories, if you like. You might think for the Hansel and Gretel story, you could go with Sweet Lolita and lots of candies and cookies and what not… I decided to go a little darker and more sinister for the look, considering it was written by the Brothers Grimm, and most of the story takes place in dark and creepy woods. >_w<įor Winnie, I stuck heavily with the red and yellow color scheme. It was a long process but I think it all turned out alright and she is now really into lolita and active in her local com and slowly building her wardrobe. The dress has honey bears on it too! I put black mary-janes with it, to tie in the chocolate syrup on the print, and also because that’s what Christopher Robin wears.Īaand of course, the red hood is a must.

Then we looked for accessories together on Etsy that were of items in the print and ordered them and I found some basic below the knee socks I already had that worked with the cord and gave them too her and lastly we had shoes which were a pain because they have large wide feet but we sound some that would work for lolita and then we were done. Then I had them draw me what they had imagined in their head for the blouse and head accessories and I went and got fabric and made them. This is such a good resource I wish I had had this when I was helping my little sister get her first cord but I was also fairly new as well so I was not this organized about it I just sent her all the styles like you did in the beginning with pictures and then after that I sent a bunch of prints and ask which ones they were drawn too most and then I went a found similar prints that were currently available for purchase in my budget ( I was the one buying the coord because they were 18 and still in high school with no job) and asked them to pick from them their favorite one.
